Day Fifty Two: Getting out in the SUN!

What can I say? I’m getting totally hooked on the idea of walking around Dunedin in the sunshine. Today found me turning left instead of right when I left my motel in the morning, and as a result I ended up at the Dunedin Botanic Garden.

Know how HUGE that tree is? The teeny tiny red dot to the left of the trunk is a human!

Once I’d finished with the garden I took a stroll back across to The Octagon and went into the Dunedin Public Art Gallery.

I passed this church on the way from the Botanic Garden to The Octagon. Pretty brick work.

Right smack dab in the middle of the street that bisects The Octagon, this was there encouraging people to attend the horse show this weekend! ** Notice the "Think Holden"?!

There were quite a few horses and riders there. Odd to see in the middle of the busy intersection!

There are a couple of sets of these steps that lead up from George Street to the next street up the hill. Great if you want a bit of cardio work on your walk. (Or not...)

The sun stayed out all day, and when it is light from sunup at 6:30 am to sunset at 9:15 pm that gives a person a lot of time to walk around!!
