Day Twenty One: Christchurch to Blenheim

Morning in Christchurch = overcast and sprinkly. We stopped into Bean Scene for breakfast / coffee:

We all wandered over toward the CBD, with the ultimate goal of getting to Arts Centre Bookshop to see my friend Darryl and to pick up some hoodies I’d ordered from Morphic (via Etsy). Darryl had been kind enough to hold onto the box for me until I was in town to get them.

Once we’d finished at Arts Centre Books it was time to go collect the bags we’d stashed under the stairs at the Jailhouse and head up to Blenheim, a 4 hour drive north.

We stopped for lunch at Two Rivers Cafe in Cheviot.

One more quick leg-stretching stop before Blenheim, at Ohao Stream Walkway along the coast just north of Kaikoura.

We arrived in Blenheim and checked into our motel for the night. The main goal was to get something for dinner and run a load of laundry, which we did. Hallelujah, clean clothes!!
