Day Eight: Nelson (-OR- This is NOT a food blog!)

Monday morning. And we chose to start this, our second week in New Zealand, at a leisurely pace by just hanging out in Nelson’s CBD (central business district), and checking out shops that we’d seen but not been in to yet. Business hours in New Zealand are generally quite a bit shorter than ours are at home. I will assure you that in the future I won’t be doing such a heavy food / coffee photography post again without clearly warning you, but today turned into a decadent coffee day and, post-dinner, I’m feeling like…well, a person who spent a bit too much of her day enjoying what should be occasional “treats” and not pacing herself well enough. Tomorrow’s a travel day, and I’ll hit the reset button and take a bit of a breather when it comes to food. The really good thing is that I’ve been walking A LOT, and my step count has been very nice lately. My UP band even sent me a congratulatory email for hitting goal and told me I’m on 3 day step goal-meeting¬† “streak”.¬† I’ll do a separate post about where we’ve been staying for the past 3 nights.

And so, without further prelude, I present you with Random Sightings and Multiple Coffees
It’s 100% photos from here, so feel free to skip along as you want:
