Day 8, part 2: Joya Garden and Villas (Nelson)

The past 3 nights we’ve been staying at Joya Garden and Villas in Nelson. It’s a well-placed walk away from central Nelson. The garden is tranquil and beautiful and attracts many birds, so birdsong is always coming through the open windows and doors. The hostess, Paulina Aarts, made us feel right at home. It’s my kind of place: lots of light, fresh air, and natural wood surfaces. Here are a few photos I took, and there’s information on their website for any one who might be looking for a place from which to base their stay in Nelson.

There were a few other photos that I posted a couple of days ago, and I won’t repeat them. It’s very clearly a place that has had a lot of love and attention spend on it, and it shows!
